You all know how much we LOVE our coupons here on Raking In The Savings! We also know there are other things we can do around the house to save time and money!

Our friend Carol has years of experience doing everyday things to help make your money stretch a little further! She has offered to share some of those time-saving, and/or cash-saving tips with us, so we can all learn from her experience! These articles will be called Carol’s Cash Clips!

Here is what Carol has to say this week!

Tired of throwing away limp celery? Kale? Wishing it would have lasted a few days longer?

I know….it is like throwing away hard earned cashola….try these tips!

Cut a little off the bottom of your Kale bunch, fill a large vase or large cup with water and add the Kale! No room in the frige? Keep it near a cool place on your counter!

Celery won’t fit in the crisper? Put celery into a large vase or large cup, add water and put the celery in it!

This will not only save $$ but make you feel better keeping the veggies as crisp as possible until you need them!

Thanks for the tip Carol! I have a bunch of celery in the fridge right now that could use a little TLC! I need to give this a try!
