You all know how much we LOVE our coupons here on Raking In The Savings! We also know there are other things we can do around the house to save time and money!
Our friend Carol has years of experience doing everyday things to help make your money stretch a little further! She has offered to share some of those time-saving, and/or cash-saving tips with us, so we can all learn from her experience! These articles will be called Carol’s Cash Clips!
Here is what Carol has to say this week!
Did you know????
Would you like to keep your faucets looking sparkling clean during the holidays for company (or anytime for that matter)? After you do your regular sink and faucet cleaning, take a rag and put a dab or two of baby oil on it and wipe down your faucets! Wah ~ Lah no water spots for a few days! The baby oil keeps the water beading up and falling off! You can also do it in the shower…it won’t last as long…but it will last for some time! And for a nice finish on your bathroom sinks…..a light spray of funiture polish…and it too will bead up and down the drain it will go!
Merry Christmas! And Happy Cleaning!
I know that now, more than any other time, I am looking for all the short cuts I can get to keep things looking cleaner longer, while not taking a lot of time! What a fast, easy idea to keep the faucets sparkling! Thank you for sharing this with us Carol!
That’s a great tip! Haven’t heard that before. Thanks for sharing! : )
This is a great idea. I hate those water spots that are always on my faucet. I’m definitely going to try this
Thanks for the great “spot-free/drip-dry” cleaning tips! I am constantly wiping down our bathroom sink and mirror from water splashes. Hope this works 🙂
I am off to try this now and am very excited, I have been wondering what to use and even though I don’t have any baby oil, I do have furniture polish.
I will have to try these tips. The water spots drive me crazy.
Would never have thought of this, what a great tip! I hate spotty faucets, want them always looking brand new, thanks!
Even if it only works for a couple of days, it is better than the spots I have all the time now. I’m going to try this
Hahaha-thanks for the tip- I love being able to make things “look nice” and cut a few corners whenever I can 😉
Love it
