You all know how much we LOVE our coupons here on Raking In The Savings! We also know there are other things we can do around the house to save time and money!
Our friend Carol has years of experience doing everyday things to help make your money stretch a little further! She has offered to share some of those cash-saving tips with us, so we can all learn from her experience! These articles will be called Carol’s Cash Clips!
Today Carol is going to help us save time and money! Here is what she has to say:
I had never thought of using baking soda to clean that filter! It gets so DISGUSTING up there!
Thank you for sending that over to us Carol! What a great idea!
I have learned you can also use baking soda to clean the microwave! I put some in a cup of water, and heat it to boiling in the microwave. Then I let it sit for a few minutes, and it seems to soften all the gunk in there, so it wipes right off!
Be sure to handle the cup of baking soda water carefully, as it will still be hot even after you let it sit in there for a few minutes!
The next step to saving money on your grocery bill, is doing simple things to save money at home! Baking soda is much cheaper than those de-greasing cleaners you can buy! I think the small containers at Walmart are under $.50, and they will go a long way for cleaning! Plus think of all the time you will save not trying to scrub all that gunk off!
I would love to hear if anyone else has come up with some great uses for baking soda!
I guess I better add some to the shopping list! 🙂
