As tasty in appearance on your table as they will be on your tongue, these Caramel Apple Tarts can be personalized with whipped or served à la mode. They are a decedent yet easy treat for your holiday guest or dessert for a crisp autumn dinner.
Love apple pie but don’t have the time to make one right now? Try these Caramel Apple Tarts! They are super easy to make using frozen puff pastry, caramel sauce, and Reddi-wip (real dairy whipped cream in a can) or you can make them from scratch. My favorite Caramel Sauce is easy to make and also doubles as an delicious apple dip!
Start by thawing your puff pastry and then roll them out to about 1/3 to 1/2 inch thickness. Use your favorite cookie cutter to cut the puff pastry into individual tarts and layer 2-4 thinly sliced apples on top. Sprinkle with sugar. For an additional festive touch, you can place a thin layer of puff pastry in the shape of a leaf on top from using these leaf cookie cutters.
Bake at 400 until golden brown (time depends on the puff pastry used. If you are using frozen puff pastry, go by the time specified on your package. If using homemade puff pastry, check at the time specified in your recipe). Lightly drizzle with warm caramel sauce. Top with a dollop of whipped cream or a small scoop of vanilla (or cinnamon) ice cream and serve immediately!
