Adam about to take a bite of his first hamburger thanks to Franz Gluten Free Buns!
As many of you know, one of my twins (Adam) is on a gluten free, casein free diet, and he doesn’t do well with refined sugars. That leaves out pretty much all of the foods that most of us eat each day.
Bread is one thing we had a very hard time finding that he could have. Through the years, we have tried many kinds, and just finally gave up on giving him bread products. Most of them had ingredients he couldn’t have, and the ones he could have, he didn’t like.
When I heard about Franz Gluten Free Breads, I was thrilled to see they were safe for him to eat! When I was given the opportunity to review them, I jumped at the chance!
Franz Gluten Free Breads are 100% all-natural whole grain breads and they are certified gluten free! They also don’t have all the preservatives we try to avoid that you see in many of the other gluten free breads, so I can feel good about giving them to him.
Here is what I received from Franz to try out:
- Franz Mountain White Gluten Free Bread
- Franz 7 Grains Gluten Free Bread
- Franz Gluten Free Hamburger Buns

He loved it! Better yet, we gave one of the Franz Gluten Free Hamburger buns to Micah (Adam’s twin brother who is not gluten free) with his burger, and he loved them too! They are nice hearty buns with a good flavor! Micah and Adam both agreed that we should have hamburgers for dinner again the next night too (which we did)!
The next morning we had eggs and toast, using one slice of each kind of bread so we could try them each out together. I was very impressed with the texture of both the Mountain White Gluten Free Bread and the 7 Grain Gluten Free Bread.
One of the first things I noticed is how fresh it is! It’s not like some of those gluten free breads that have been sitting on the shelf for who knows how long because they have so many preservatives in them. It is as close as you can get to the texture of regular bread, and it was softer and not as dense as the other GF breads we have tried!
You can see it even looks like regular bread!
Adam, Micah and I really liked both kinds of Franz Gluten Free Bread. The kids liked the Mountain White one better, and I really liked the flavor of the 7 Grain one. For me to say I liked the flavor of any gluten free bread is something I thought I would never say!
The boys asked for bread for every snack up until we ran out of both loaves of bread, and Adam was upset when he didn’t have any left to have toast with his eggs! Needless to say, these are now on our shopping list for the next time we head to the store!
We could not be happier with the Franz Gluten Free Breads and Hamburger Buns! Adam can’t wait to have another hamburger, and loves that he can have a sandwich for lunch now like his brother has that actually tastes good! These products are exactly what we have been looking for!
