Walmart Shopping Trip!

I made a trip to Walmart to score on some Ibotta offers before they expired! (For iPhone and Droid users-you can learn more about Ibotta in our post “Ibotta App Explained“.)

I also did a little Albertsons ad matching while I was there because I didn’t have time to make another stop.

Total including tax: $46.01 OOP, then I will submit for $8.00 in Ibotta Deposits sent to my paypal account!

The cheese alone would have been almost $18.00 if we had run out and I had to pay regular price for it! The key to saving the most money with coupons is picking it up when the price is low instead of having to run out and pay full price for it when you run out! :)

Franz Bakery Outlet Shopping Trip. Great Bread Deals!

A great place to stock up on bread is the Franz Bakery Outlet! They have great deals all week,  and Saturdays they mark down prices even lower. I stopped in Saturday and they had 4/$5 and 5/$5 deals! Here is a photo of what I picked up for only $10. (plus tax)!

Our local Franz Outlet Bakery offers a punch card and I try to buy as close to the $10 punch mark as I can. When buying discounted breads, you need to either use it right away or freeze it. With our large family, that is not a problem. They have a great selection (varies daily).  I have even seen ORGANIC and Gluten Free loaves on the clearance shelf!

But I just couldn’t let my +UPS expire. That would be like throwing away good money! I have to say that I was tickled to death that we got the $4/1 Almay coupon. I thought for sure we wouldn’t. This week there is a great BOGO 50 % off sale on Almay cosmetics, PLUS you will get a $3+UP wyb $10! With the coupon, this makes for some amazing deals on makeup!!

*Be on the lookout for the Contour Next EZ Meter that will be FREE after your +UP . It was out at my store so I made sure to get a raincheck!! There’s also some great deals on cleaning items and Arm & Hammer laundry detergent if you received the $1/1 Arm & Hammer Power Paks Single-Use Detergent, exp. 6/30/13 (SS 04/14/13)  coupon in your insert. Spokane area did not.

I am amazed how much groceries cost, this little shopping trip would have been over $39!
After sale prices and coupons, I only paid $23.71 + tax! That is a savings of over $15.00.

rite aidLast week was just one of those weeks where couponing wasn’t even feasible. I was sick with a sinus infection, and my two year old had a double ear infection PLUS an infection in his eyes…. NOT FUN! So I took a week break, but I was back at the deals bright and early this week!  (I don’t feel like I missed out on anything last week though. I just wasn’t that impressed with the ad) There are great deals going on this week at Rite Aid. It is a much better week than what has been!
