With all of the Free Razors we were getting at Albertsons last week, I thought I would re-post this for everyone! I love having a place to take all of these “extra” freebies I pick up!
As couponers, we seem to pile up an endless supply of personal care items that we probably will never be able to use in a lifetime. We usually pay nothing (or close to nothing) for these items!
I for one, get so involved in the “coupon high” involved in walking out of the store hardly paying any money, that I don’t stop and ask myself “Do I really have a use for another small tube of Free Icy Hot? Or do I REALLY need another Free container of Floss?
The answer is most definitely NO, I do not NEED these things! But, I buy them anyway! Why? Because it’s the thrill of getting all of these wonderful things for Free! Or even better, making money to take them out of the store! I sure hope I’m not the only one who gets this crazy! lol I just can’t walk away from FREE!
I recently had a reader asking if there was a place that takes donations of items like this, not just food items. Another one of our readers put me in contact with Deb from Eastpoint Church.
She told me about the wonderful work they do in their Single Parent Pantry. They are an Essentials Pantry, and their goal is to help people make ends meet! They take not only donations of food items, but also gently used clothing, household goods as well as personal care items, medicines, and much more!
Here is the list Deb sent over to me:
We supply many things to people who need help, such as: laundry soap, dryer sheets, toothpaste, maxi pads, medicines, diapers (all sizes), baby wipes, baby shampoo, baby lotion, kid’s/women’s/men’s shampoo & conditioner, razors, tampons , household cleaners, toilet bowl cleaner, hand soap, bar soap, toothbrushes (kids/adults), toothpaste, qtips, cotton balls, dental floss, deodorant (men;s/women’s), pain reliever’s (kid’s/adult’s), cough drop, chapstick, cold medicines (kid’s/adults), trash bags, sandwich bags, aluminum foil, toilet paper, paper towels, body lotion and I’m sure I am missing a thing or two!
That is in addition to the food, clothing, and household goods!
Their church is located at 15303 E. Sprague Ave (this is the old KMart on Sprague in Spokane Valley). They are about 3-5 minutes away from the Sullivan Rd. exit. Deb is also willing to do pick-ups! Maybe you could grab a group of friends and put together a nice donation for Deb to come and pick-up to save you the drive over there!
If you have any questions, the phone number to the church is 509.533.6800 ext. 123. They are open Tuesday thru Friday 8 am-4pm. Deb is always there on Thursdays, but if anyone wants to drop anything off at other times the church is open, there is a shopping cart right inside the door where people drop items off for the pantry.
What a wonderful opportunity to take all of these awesome freebies we get (and may not even need!), and be a blessing to someone else! They served 340 families last year with no outside funding, just what they were able to get from the church! Most of these families come in every month to get a little assistance in getting by.
I am so excited to be partnering with Deb and The Eastpoint Church to get the word out about the awesome work they are doing over there!
Now we can get our coupon high, and feel great about helping others in the process!

Hi Emily!
At the Hayden store, the trial sized Icy Hots were on a white hanging strip near the end of the body wash aisle. They were right in front of the Old Spice & other men’s body washes. They are easy to look right past them at the body washes behind them if you’re not looking for them! I went looking a bunch of times before I was pricing body wash, and I accidentally saw the Icy Hots there! lol
