RECALL! Excedrin, Gas X Prevention, Bufferin, and No Doz! TONS of Products! Check your stockpiles!

by Kari on January 14, 2012

in Albertsons, Fred Meyer, Kmart, Recalls, Rite Aid, Safeway, Target, Trading Company, Walgreens, Walmart, Winco, Yokes

We did a post this morning on really cheap Excedrin at Rite Aid right now. Reader Denise let me know that there has been a recall on Excedrin and several other products. I made a call to Rite Aid, and found out that yes, there has been a HUGE recall, and there is not ONE Excedrin product on the shelves at any store right now.

Since most of us have a nice little stockpile of medicines built up, I thought I should do a post highlighting this recall so you can all know to stop taking these medicines, and check your stockpiles and medicine cabinets for affected products!

Go here to see the recall statement, the products involved, and what you need to do to get a refund if you have any of the affected products.

I’m sorry about this post this morning telling you to go buy Excedrin! It looks like I need to start paying a little more attention to the news! :-(

Hi George!
I’m sorry George, I have no information whatsoever on how they are handling the recall. I would imagine it could take up to 12 weeks to see an actual refund on these products. I am sure they are getting bombarded with codes right now. Here is the link to their recall page. I would recommend continuing to contact them until you receive answers. http://www.novartis-otc.com/index.html

No Brenda, the recall is not over. All of the shelves are still cleared of these products. It is looking like it could be quite awhile before we see these products again. :-(
